Sassafras Flavor 1 dram
The old-fashioned flavor of Sassafras is a favorite in hard candies. This flavor (similar to root beer) was very popular in teas, beverages, and candies in early American history. Try Paring with Bavarian Cream or Honey Flavorings.

Appropriate for use in chocolates and coatings (typical use is ¼ to ½ teaspoon per pound)
